Job summary

Middlebury College is seeking a temporary Bilingual Assistant in German for the Summer German School on the college campus in Vermont. The role includes organizing academic and non-academic operations, supporting students in language learning, and coordinating with faculty and the director.

Responsibilities include tutoring, co-curricular activities, and resident support, with lodging and a full meal plan provided in addition to the salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred. Advanced degree a plus.
• Native or near-native proficiency in German and English, oral and written.
• Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide language and co-curricular support to students.
• Assist with dorm coordination and student housing guidance.
• Collaborate with faculty to support student language acquisition.
