Job summary

Lansing Community College is seeking Peer Tutors for the Learning Commons to support student success during the 2026–2027 academic year. Tutors will work with faculty and other tutors, engage in student outreach, and lead study groups throughout the semester.

Applicants must commit to at least 8 hours per week, with possible evenings or weekend assignments. On-campus presence is required, and the college may approve flexible schedules as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 at LCC or from high school.
• Enrolled and actively attending the following total LCC credit hours by semester.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• One reference will be required from the MATH 120 LCC Instructor.

Responsibilities

• Engage in student outreach and facilitate regularly scheduled study groups.
• Work with teaching faculty and professional tutors as assigned.
• Participate in tutor training sessions and department meetings.
