Job summary

Lansing Community College seeks ACCG210 Peer Tutors to support student success in Learning Commons. Tutors collaborate with faculty and professional tutors, run study sessions, and assist students across assigned courses. A strong commitment to friendly, inclusive service is required.

Regular on-campus presence is expected; flexible/hybrid schedules may apply. Applicants must be enrolled as LCC students and meet the listed requirements, including GPA and coursework prerequisites.

Qualifications

• GPA minimum 2.0 required (unless first semester)
• Actively pursuing a certificate, associate, or undergraduate degree at LCC
• Must provide one reference, one from ACCG 210 instructor
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel

Responsibilities

• Provide peer tutoring and student outreach in the Learning Commons
• Facilitate regular study groups and tutor training sessions
• Attend department meetings and campus events as assigned
• Commit to at least 8 hours per week; evenings/weekends may be required

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Pursuing certificate/associate/undergraduate degree at LCC
