Job summary

University of La Verne is seeking a Makerspace Creative Assistant to help operate the Wilson Library Makerspace, supporting 3D printers, laser cutters, and other DIY tools. Training will be provided and no prior experience is required.

This on-campus, part-time role is ideal for ULV students looking to gain hands-on experience. You will assist with workshops, research new technologies, and help engage the campus community through events like Maker Fairs and camps.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Willing to learn new skills and technology.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and accountable with strong self-management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Wilson Library Makerspace and provide tech support for 3D printers, laser cutters, and IoT devices.
• Provide instructions, orientations, and workshops on makerspace technologies.
• Assist in researching emerging technologies for teaching and learning applications.
• Support community engagement activities such as Maker Fair and Robotic Summer Camps.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Wilson Library staff.
