Job summary

The University of La Verne in La Verne, CA seeks a Photography Program Student Assistant to support the photography lab operations, check out equipment to students, maintain inkjet printers, mix darkroom chemicals, and assist with lighting studio setup. This on-site role expects reliable ULV students available for shifts between 8:00am and 7:00pm.

Responsibilities include keeping spaces clean, ensuring equipment is returned on time, helping with digital and analog labs, and guiding students

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Willingness to learn, must be able to work at least 2-hour shifts, be respectful and helpful.
Preferred Qualifications: Photography Major/Minor, good communication skills, ability to handle stressful situations, organized and helpful to faculty and students.

Responsibilities

Photography lab monitors assist faculty, staff, and students with equipment and day-to-day operations of the photography area.
Be on time and stay for the full duration of your shift; notify if you cannot attend.
Assist with opening, digital labs, darkrooms, and closing duties; ensure spaces are clean and equipment is properly checked in and out.
Mix chemistry for darkroom development and support students in the lab.
Support students with the darkroom and maintain safety and order.
