Job summary

Texas A&M University is looking for a student to assist the Office of Information Technology with daily functions in the Student Information Services group. Responsibilities include maintaining reports, ensuring compliance with university standards, and supporting SQL database applications. The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology or related fields and is committed to providing outstanding support.

The position requires on-campus interactions with a pay rate of $10.50 per hour for up to 19 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate students and 3.0 for graduate students.
• Meet all other requirements as stated in TAMIU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).

Responsibilities

• Maintain reports based on data from the Student Information System (SIS).
• Ensure compliance with Texas A&M International University rules and standard administrative procedures.
• Provide local program support for SQL student database applications.
• Prepare and modify programs to extract data from SIS.
• Support University departments regarding the usage of SIS.
• Provide analytic support regarding SIS.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills

Proficiency using a personal computer workstation with common software applications

Ability to organize and multitask functions to meet deadlines

Ability to learn and use multiple software programs

Education

Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

Enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours per semester for undergraduates, 3 credit hours per semester for graduates)
