Texas A&M International University is seeking an Information Technology Intern for the Office of Information Technology (OIT) User Service team in Laredo. The role supports daily IT tasks via phone, remote desktop, walk-in, or on-site assistance.
The intern will help handle inquiries, assist with equipment relocation, connect peripherals and network access, and contribute to software updates and documentation, while maintaining inventory and supporting special projects.

The OIT User Service Intern will assist with the daily functions of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) User Service group and technical support by phone, remote desktop, walk-in or on-site assistance.
Enrolled at least half-time, 6 credit hours per semester for undergraduate and 3 credit hours per semester for graduates. Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate students and 3.0 for graduate students. Must meet all other requirements as stated in TAMIU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).

Position requires on campus, face‑to‑face interactions. Position requires maintaining a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace. Work schedules are created by the department based on departmental needs but ensure it does not conflict with class schedule. Promptly complete all required trainings. Submit time sheet biweekly. Subject to funding and/or need.
Pay of Rate: $10.50/hour for up to 19 hours weekly All positions are security-sensitive. Applicants are subject to a criminal history investigation, and employment is contingent upon the institution’s verification of credentials and/or other information required by the institution’s procedures, including the completion of the criminal history check.
