Job summary

Texas A&M University is looking for a student to assist the Office of Information Technology with daily functions in the Student Information Services group. Qualifications

  • Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate students and 3.0 for graduate students.
  • Meet all other requirements as stated in TAMIU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain reports based on data from the Student Information System (SIS).
  • Ensure compliance with Texas A&M International University rules and standard administrative procedures.
  • Provide local program support for SQL student database applications.
  • Prepare and modify programs to extract data from SIS.
  • Support University departments regarding the usage of SIS.
  • Provide analytic support regarding SIS.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assist the Office of Information Technology with the daily functions of the Student Information Services group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain reports based on data from the Student Information System (SIS).
  • Ensure compliance with Texas A&M International University rules and standard administrative procedures, Texas A&M University System policies and regulations, PCI security standards, FERPA, HIPAA, copyright laws, and the State of Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 202.
  • Provide local program support for SQL student database applications.
  • Prepare and modify programs to extract data from SIS.
  • Support University departments regarding the usage and maintenance of SIS and associated data.
  • Provide analytic support to department/projects/requests regarding SIS.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Enrolled at least half‑time (6 credit hours per semester for undergraduates, 3 credit hours per semester for graduates).
