Job summary

Texas A&M International University is seeking an Information Technology Intern for the Office of Information Technology (OIT) User Service team in Laredo. The role supports daily IT tasks via phone, remote desktop, walk-in, or on-site assistance.

The intern will help handle inquiries, assist with equipment relocation, connect peripherals and network access, and contribute to software updates and documentation, while maintaining inventory and supporting special projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily IT/OIT User Service operations.
• Handle routine inquiries from employees and students.
• Relocate computer equipment on-site as needed.
• Connect peripherals and network to university systems.
• remotely connect with users using Bomgar for support.
• Update workstations with patches and keep documentation updated.
• Manage inventory of software and hardware.
• Assist on special IT projects and decommission unused equipment.
