Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. This role involves living in on-campus student homes and providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8-13 students.

The position starts with a 9 days on/3 days off schedule, with potential placement into a consistent home. Couples must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Transport students to activities and participate in developmental/recreational plans.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
