Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8-13 students living in the home.

This two-person role begins with nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off, and may transition to aPlaced Houseparent role to live and work with the same group of students.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth or in youth programs is required.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and support student wellness.
• Transport students to activities and participate in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
