Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and guiding a group of 8-13 students to foster academic, emotional, and social development.

Initial duties cover multiple homes on a nine-on / three-off schedule, with transition to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. Benefits include salary, housing, and comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
