Job summary

CSUN's Soraya Center is seeking a Customer Service Worker – Merchandise Seller to support events at The Soraya and related venues. You will sell Soraya-branded and artist merchandise, assist patrons with seating, and uphold policies while delivering top-tier service.

On-call, on-campus position in Northridge with training, basic cash handling, and the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant performing arts community.

Qualifications

• Current American Heart Association or Red Cross CPR, AED and/or First Aid, and TIPS certifications are preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Alpha/numeric data entry at 35 keystrokes per minute desirable.

Responsibilities

• Scan or tear tickets, distribute programs, assist with seating and late seating.
• Set up, maintain and clean hospitality, dining, and kitchen areas per event needs.
• Assist patrons in merchandise sales and handle cash/credit card transactions.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as needed (customer service, disability assistance, evacuation).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
