Georgetown University on the Main Campus is seeking a full-time Custodian to perform cleaning and maintenance to provide a clean, safe and pleasant environment. Tasks follow a detailed cleaning plan and may include snow removal and support for special events.

The incumbent reports to a Custodial Supervisor and will work alone or with others. The role requires HS or GED, 1 year custodial experience, a valid DC/MD/VA driver’s license, and basic English proficiency.

Qualifications

HS or GED preferred.
One year of custodial work experience is preferred.
Requires valid and current driver’s license from Maryland, Virginia, or District of Columbia.
Requires a basic knowledge of English including reading, writing and speaking with understanding to read and follow instructions.
Must be able to relate custodial and maintenance problems clearly to supervisor or Work Management Center.
Will be required to complete a training program in building cleaning.

Responsabilités

Perform general and specific cleaning and maintenance tasks per the cleaning plan.
Snow and ice removal, water or fire damage cleanup, and special event support.
Work independently or with other staff under supervision and/or managers.
Follow safety rules, regulations, and precautions.
