Georgetown University seeks a full-time Custodian to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks that ensure a clean, safe, and pleasant environment on campus in Washington, DC. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, strict adherence to safety rules, and flexibility to assist during emergencies and snow events.
You will report to the Manager of Custodial Services and work on-campus, with availability for emergency duty.

In Accordance With a Detailed Cleaning Plan, The Custodian Performs General And Specific Cleaning And Maintenance Tasks To Provide a Clean, Safe, And Pleasant Physical Environment. They Perform Other Tasks As Assigned In Emergency Or Unusual Situations With Specific Guidance From The Supervisor. Examples Of Additional Work To Be Performed Include But Are Not Limited To
This position reports directly to the Manager of Custodial Services. The position may report to another manager or staff member as assigned by the immediate supervisor or Director of Facilities Management. Primary purpose is to provide building support services that ensure a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the University community. Employees are expected to behave in a professional manner, comply with policies and practices, be flexible with respect to scheduling and work as a part of a team. This position is considered an emergency position. All levels of faculty, staff and students as well as the general public in performance of duties.
