Job summary

Georgetown University seeks a full-time Custodian to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks that ensure a clean, safe, and pleasant environment on campus in Washington, DC. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, strict adherence to safety rules, and flexibility to assist during emergencies and snow events.

You will report to the Manager of Custodial Services and work on-campus, with availability for emergency duty.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Reading, writing and conversing in English to read instructions and discuss custodial matters.

Responsibilities

• Performs general and specific cleaning and maintenance tasks to provide a clean, safe and pleasant environment.
• Other duties include furniture moving, office and classroom cleaning, restroom cleaning, entrance cleaning, event setup/breakdown, and cleaning all public spaces.
