Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Apprenticeship in Electricity; Plumbing; HVAC; or Carpentry with 2 years of experience, or 6 years in the trade, or an equivalent combination.
• Must read and comprehend safety policies, procedures, and university policies; perform mathematical calculations.
• Valid Driver's License and insurability under the university policy.
• Must meet mental and physical requirements as outlined for each duty.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assignment and direction of work; evaluate performance and train staff.
• Verify and approve material requisitions; manage documentation.
• Obtain supplies from supply houses; monitor inventory and prepare paperwork.
• Plan work, maintain records, inspect progress and completed work.
• Perform duties of skilled trades in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC.
• Acquire knowledge of chemicals, environmental concerns, codes, and new techniques; enforce safety rules.
• Read and interpret drawings to ensure code compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
