Job summary

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of training or education beyond high school or equivalent.
• Three to five years of experience in building services and grounds maintenance, including at least one year of first‑line supervisory experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Indiana Driver’s License and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, assign, and review daily project work of Field/Facilities Attendants and students.
• Supervise, monitor, inspect, and coordinate daily operations, including special event set‑ups and takedowns, ensuring proper methods, supplies and equipment.
• Assist with the proper allocation of attendants for emergencies or special events.
• Coordinate and inspect proper marking and set‑ups of venues according to guidelines or standards.
• Supervise operations of facilities and spaces; maintain records of staff and equipment.
• Orient and train staff; make recommendations on compensation, discipline, performance, training, and development.
• Monitor personnel needs and facility maintenance requirements.
• Enforce safety, shop, and university rules; report and resolve issues.
