Boys & Girls Club of Oakland is seeking an On-Call Van Driver to transport BGCO members safely to schools, field trips, and approved activities. This part-time, on-call position emphasizes safety, reliability, and positive customer service.

Work hours are weekday afternoons with some weekend coverage; a valid California CDL with Passenger Endorsement, CPR/First Aid certifications, and a clean driving record are required. You will also maintain logs and assist with program transports.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess a valid CA Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement.
• Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV review required.

Responsibilities

• Transport BGCO members safely between designated schools, BGCO Clubhouses, field trips, and approved destinations.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Maintain transportation logs and report maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Provide on-call coverage for scheduled driver absences and events.
