Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County (BGCSC) in Mukilteo, WA seeks a Van Driver to transport club members safely under the Unit Director’s supervision. The role supports a range of youth programs aligned with BGCSC priorities: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Citizenship.

Qualifications

• Twenty-three (23) years of age and has a clean driving record for insurance purposes.
• Ability to remain positive and organized in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to incorporate organizational values fun, respect, integrity, community, and acceptance into all practices.
• Prior experience working with youth or a background in early childhood education preferred.
• Flexibility to work different hours based on seasonal operational needs.
• Ability to pass a drug test upon hire.
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with BGCSC standards upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Follows all traffic laws and practices safe driving.
• Completes additional safe driving training as needed.
• Assists Program Director in planning and implementing activities for the members that provides a sense of belonging.
• Assists with managing program supplies and equipment.
• Engages in physical activities such as sports, STEM, and arts and crafts.
• Supervises the youth independently in regulation of WA State DCYF and BGCSC standards.
• Participates in active and engaged supervision for all members.
• Prepares snacks for members while practicing food safety as needed.
• Supports members’ behavior using social emotional learning and trauma-informed practices.
• Works with a variety of youth from various backgrounds.
• Ensures youth are safe and engaged in activities, including BGCSC policies.
• Creates positive and supportive relationships with youth.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of club spaces and equipment.
• Completes and maintains training and professional development as required.
• Other duties as assigned by Unit Director.
