Job summary

Orange County Rescue Mission in California is seeking an on-call driver for our Class B bus and van, to transport students and their children safely to and from requested destinations.

You will assist passengers, secure wheelchairs, operate radios, and perform vehicle checks to ensure safety at all times. This role supports our Success Center and requires a Class B license, a clean driving record, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• GED or high school certification or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of related work experience.
• Class B license required.

Responsibilities

• Transport people to designated locations in a safe, timely manner.
• Assist passengers entering and exiting, including children and disabled passengers.
• Secure wheelchairs and strollers to restraints.
• Operate radio to communicate with staff and other drivers.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle checks and report hazards.
• Maintain clean driving record and comply with safety policies.
