Job summary

Snohomish County Boys and Girls Club in Mukilteo, WA is seeking a Van Driver to transport youth safely and support program activities. You will help implement activities that promote academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character, under the Unit Director's supervision.

The role emphasizes safe driving, youth engagement, and adherence to BGCSC safety policies. A valid 23+ driver’s license and clean record are required, with willingness to complete trainings.

Qualifications

• Twenty-three (23) years of age and has a clean driving record for insurance purposes.
• Ability to remain positive and organized in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to incorporate organizational values fun, respect, integrity, community, and acceptance into all practices.
• Prior experience working with youth or a background in early childhood education preferred.
• Flexibility to work different hours based on seasonal operational needs.
• Ability to pass a drug test upon hire.
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with BGCSC standards upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Drive BGCSC vans and transport club members safely.
• Follow traffic laws and complete safe driving training as needed.
• Assist in planning activities to provide belonging and engagement.
• Manage program supplies and equipment.
• Engage youth in sports, S.T.E.M, and arts and crafts.
• Supervise youth per WA DCYF and BGCSC standards.
• Prepare snacks and ensure food safety when needed.
• Support youth with social-emotional learning and trauma-informed practices.
• Maintain club spaces and equipment; keep youth belongings organized.
• Complete trainings and professional development as required.
