Job summary

HealthRIGHT 360 is seeking an On-Call SUD Counselor I to join an interdisciplinary team delivering individual and group counseling, education, and care coordination for clients with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. The role supports crisis intervention and navigates care for continuity of treatment.

The position requires a background in substance use counseling, CA certification, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a counseling background in substance use disorders or behavioral health.
• CA certification/licensure for SUD counselor required or in process.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling sessions as needed per treatment plans.
• Facilitate group counseling and community meetings as scheduled.
• Support client engagement by linking to internal and external resources.
• Deliver education on treatment-related topics to support recovery goals.
• Maintain clinical documentation and treatment plans with the team.
• Assist in crisis intervention and communicate updates to the team.
• Ensure proper medication handling and documentation when applicable.
