Job summary

HealthRIGHT 360 is a nonprofit delivering integrated health and behavioral health services in San Francisco, CA. The SUD Counselor will work with an interdisciplinary team to assess client needs, provide individual and group counseling, and support recovery within residential and outpatient settings.

You will document sessions promptly, participate in intake processes, and coordinate with internal/external resources. Weekend/holiday shifts may be required as part of program coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in health and human services, social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
• Must be registered as an Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor or SUD Counselor with CA approved certifying agency (CCAPP, CADTP, or CAADE).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group counseling sessions and teach classes on treatment topics.
• Perform crisis intervention and communicate with the treatment team.
• Document all group and individual sessions within 24–72 hours per contract requirements.
• Proactively link clients to internal and external resources based on treatment needs.
• Collaborate with clients and resources to develop/update treatment plans and progress notes.
