Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to design individualized therapy plans for patients with acute and chronic conditions and to maximize their quality of life.

The role involves evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, and swallowing disorders, providing aural rehab, implementing AAC solutions, and educating families. You will document progress and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal care and discharge readiness.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required or Doctoral degree.
• 1 year of Speech Language Pathology experience preferred.
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred; licensed to practice upon hire.

Mansioni

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, swallowing disorders.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.
• Deliver AAC systems for expressive/language disorders (e.g., ASD).
• Train and educate families, caregivers, and other professionals.
• Implement and adjust treatment plans to meet discharge criteria.
• Record patient progress and update the plan of care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient care.
