Job summary

MoDOT is seeking an on-call Emergency Maintenance Equipment Operator to perform critical snow removal on Missouri roads. Hours vary with weather events, with a $1/hour shift premium for night work (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.).

Job includes operating plow and spreader, vehicle maintenance, and performing related duties; CDL required, background check and drug screen; overtime may apply and outdoor work in harsh conditions is required.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• CDL Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status (EI or NI).
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials or to warn oncoming traffic. Cleans and performs routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds. Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.
