Job summary

MoDOT in Missouri is seeking an on-call emergency snow removal operator. Hours vary with weather events, with an additional $1 hour for night work (7 p.m.–7 a.m.). The wage rates depend on the season and area of operation.

The role requires operating plows and applying ice control materials, plus routine maintenance on equipment. CDL licensure and a clean background check are mandatory. Overtime and night shifts may be expected.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operates snow plow vehicles and spreads ice control materials, and warns traffic.
• Cleans and performs routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.
