Job summary

MoDOT seeks an on-call emergency operations equipment operator for snow removal and ice control, performed under direct supervision. Responsibilities include operating plow trucks and spreading materials, with routine maintenance of equipment and facilities.

Hours vary with weather events; night work adds $1 per hour (7 p.m.–7 a.m.). Locations: Sikeston, Kennett, Kewanee, Malden, Hayti. Seasonal emergency wage adjustments apply.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status (EI or NI).
• Registered in FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials or to warn oncoming traffic.
• Clean and perform routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Perform other responsibilities as required or assigned; work under direct supervision.
