Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street Boston is a luxury property in the Back Bay, offering 215 rooms, The Wellness Floor, and acclaimed dining. We seek a friendly, guest-focused Food & Beverage attendant to join our world-class team and deliver exceptional experiences.

Role involves menu knowledge, accurate order handling, payments, and continuous guest satisfaction. Availability on weekends, nights and holidays is required; English proficiency and a high school diploma are expected.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years food service or related work.
• Ability to carry and balance a tray.
• Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Serve guest needs by providing knowledge of menu items and preparation methods.
• Describe menu items to guests with vivid descriptions; relay orders to kitchen and coordinate timings.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond to concerns or requests.
• Close guest checks and process payments; settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
• Set up, break down, and maintain tables, buffets and stations; stock paper goods and beverages.
• Work harmoniously with coworkers and be available on weekends, nights, and holidays.

The Opportunity

Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)

• Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods.
• Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
• Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations.
• Stock paper goods, non-alcoholic beverage and other miscellaneous items for service
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to work, weekend, nights and holidays.
