Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston is currently looking for a talented and dynamic Server Assistant who shares our passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything he/she does! The Server Assistant assists the Server in providing an enjoyable dining experience to our guests while conforming to the restaurant’s standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness. The position clears tables and resets them neatly, rapidly and completely according to specification. The Server Assistant assists with the serving of food, set‑up and clearing of china, glass, and silver from service as well as attends to guest needs and requests.

Responsibilities

• Stock linen, china, and silver for service ensuring that all are polished and in good condition.
• Clean soiled bar glassware and polish by properly utilizing the bar dish machine.
• Greet guests in a professional manner, serve beverage and food items while explaining the contents, and anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are necessary.
• Prepare condiment and garnish items.
• Assist with guest service including retrieving food from the kitchen using a tray and safely transporting it to guests, as well as removal of items from the guest’s table.
• Breakdown, clean and set‑up of tables, buffets, and food stations.

Qualifications

• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform the position to the restaurant’s standards and learn the sequence of service.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Flexible schedule with ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing personality and a can‑do approach to any request.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• At minimum 1 year previous experience in a fast‑paced food and beverage operation.
• Exceptional communication skills and command of the English language.
• Additional language a definite asset for career growth.
