Job summary

Erickson Senior Living's Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking a FLEX/ON-CALL Security and Emergency Services Officer to support the SES program under supervision. You will conduct routine patrols, assist at the gatehouse, and respond to non-emergency service calls.

You should have 18+ years old, a valid driver's license, and security experience preferred. On-call flexibility and night/weekend/holiday availability are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Prior security experience preferred.
• Ability to interact professionally with residents, staff and visitors.
• Ability to document daily activities clearly and concisely.
• On-call schedule flexibility; hours may vary.
• Night/weekend/holiday availability.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interiors and exteriors of buildings and grounds.
• Perform safety inspections to support Life Safety/OSHA compliance.
• Receive and respond to non-emergency service calls from dispatch.
• Assist in community emergencies (fires, floods, severe weather, evacuations).
• Create a positive first impression of the community.
• Screen vehicle and pedestrian traffic; manage visitor parking passes.
