Job summary

Riderwood Village by Erickson Senior Living in Silver Spring, MD, seeks a FLEX/ ON-Call SES Officer to implement the SES program under supervision. You will patrol, cover the gatehouse, respond to non-emergency calls, and support life-safety efforts with professional conduct toward residents and staff.

The role offers flexible on-call hours, weekend and holiday availability, and growth opportunities as Erickson expands its communities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Prior security experience preferred.
• Ability to interact professionally with residents, families, staff and vendors.
• Ability to document daily activities clearly and concisely.
• On-call schedule flexibility; hours vary by scheduling needs.
• Night, weekend and holiday availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine interior and exterior patrols of buildings and grounds.
• Conduct safety checks in support of Life Safety and OSHA compliance.
• Receive non-emergency service calls and respond promptly by radio or phone.
• Assist in Community Emergencies such as fires, floods, severe weather, hazmat incidents, bomb threats and evacuations.
• Create a positive first impression of the community.
• Screen vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering the community.
• Document visitors and vendors/contractors and issue parking passes and maps.
