Job summary

Erickson Senior Living's Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking a Security and Emergency Services Officer to support the SES program under supervision. You will perform routine patrols, relief staffing at the gatehouse, and respond to non-emergency service calls to keep our community safe.

Responsibilities include interior and exterior patrols, safety checks for Life Safety/OSHA compliance, screening of vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and documenting daily activities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Prior security experience preferred.
• Ability to document daily activities clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior patrols of buildings and grounds.
• Provide relief staffing at the gatehouse and screen vehicle/pedestrian traffic.
• Respond to non-emergency service calls and dispatch communications.
• Respond to community emergencies (fires, floods, severe weather, hazardous materials, bomb threats, evacuations).
• Create a professional impression of the community.
• Document visitors and vendors; issue parking passes and directions.
