Job summary

CPCD is seeking an On-Call School Bus Driver to transport children to and from school and activities. The role includes in-classroom support during downtime and requires a CDL with school bus endorsements within two months if not already held.

The position begins October 19th in Colorado Springs and is on-call. Applicants must pass pre-employment testing, hold First Aid/CPR, and meet transportation requirements.

Qualifications

• Must obtain CDL and endorsements within two months if not already held.
• Clean driving record per Motor Vehicle Report prior to employment.
• Ability to lift/carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
• First Aid and CPR certifications within 90 days of employment.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Drive CPCD buses for transporting children.
• Maintain student discipline and safety on the bus.
• Communicate safety directions to students as needed.
• Complete seating charts and student information logs.
• Support classroom team with various duties and help promote a positive learning environment.
