Job summary

The Pinnacle Charter School in Federal Heights, CO is seeking a Substitute On-Call Bus Driver for a part-time, on-call, 10-month role. Qualifications

• A valid Colorado CDL with an S&P endorsement is preferred; training is available for CDL acquisition.
• Ability to communicate while appreciating the diverse background of students, parents, peers, and the community.
• Commitment to safety, following safety rules, and reporting unsafe conditions to the administrator.
• Professional appearance and demeanor; growth-minded and collaborative.
• Experience with second language learners is valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform state-required inspection of the bus prior to each trip.
• Report any vehicle malfunction, defect, or concern to the Transportation Supervisor.
• Transport students to and from school and field trips per the schedule, in a safe manner.
• Treat all students calmly and respectfully.
• Record mileage and report incidents as they occur on routes or stops.
• Ensure maintenance and cleaning schedules are followed.
• Check bus after each run for left-behind items and students.
• Lock and secure bus prior to leaving Pinnacle grounds.
