Denver Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver to transport students on regular routes, field trips, and athletic trips. The role emphasizes safety, reliable service, and strong communication with families and staff.

Eligible applicants must be 21+, hold a Colorado CDL Class B with P2S endorsements, pass a DOT physical, and maintain CPR certification. Colorado residency is preferred; paid hourly wage starts at DPS’s competitive rate with comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Colorado CDL Class B with P2S endorsements.
• Pass a DOT Physical and CPR certification within 90 days.
• Live in Colorado and meet physical demands of the role.

Responsabilidades

• Follow safety rules during bus operations at stops and drop-offs.
• Interact with parents, community, and students with a customer-service approach.
• Comply with traffic laws and DPS policy while driving.
• Review route book and updates before departures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety.
• Manage student behavior to ensure safety.
• Submit daily driver sheets and incident reports accurately.
• Conduct evacuation drills during routes and emergencies.
