Job summary

Mountain Valley Hospice is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead the afterhours on-call nursing team. This role focuses on quality patient care during evenings, nights and weekends, with oversight of urgent needs and admissions.

Responsibilities include coordinating staffing, EMR documentation, and stepping in for hands-on care when required to ensure continuity of care for terminally ill patients.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Act as leader for the afterhours nursing team, providing guidance and support.
• Address urgent patient needs, admissions, transfers and other inquiries after hours.
• Oversee accurate entry of patient information into the EMR and maintain records.
• Collaborate on staffing assignments to ensure adequate on-call coverage.
• Provide hands-on nursing care to terminally ill patients when needed.
