Job summary

Caring Hospice Services is seeking an RN on-call in Massachusetts to provide direct patient care after hours with a focus on pain and symptom control for hospice patients. The role requires MA licensure, strong assessment, management and documentation skills, and the ability to work a 7 on/7 off schedule.

You will collaborate with physicians, coordinate care plans, prioritize needs, and support families during difficult times while ensuring timely documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

Job description

The RN on-call provides direct patient care with special emphasis on control of pain and other symptoms to hospice patients after hours.

Shift: 7 on/ 7 off

Must be Licensed as an RN in MA.

Ability to relate and treat terminally ill patients/families and their particular problems.

Must possess strong patient assessment, patient management and documentation skills.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone, documentation and communication skill.

Access to reliable automobile with proof of liability insurance.

Communicates pertinent findings to the physician, implements medical treatment plan, instructs family accordingly.

Identifies problems/needs of patient of caregiver, making recommendations for pain management and comfort/symptom management.

Responds to calls promptly when received from answering service. Is able to prioritize.
