Job summary

Mountain Lakes Estates in Reno, NV is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep our independent living community safe, beautiful, and running smoothly for residents. You will perform preventive maintenance, handle repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting, and participate in on-call rotations, while delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in residential, commercial, or multifamily properties.
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
Basic computer skills for completing digital work orders.
Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to quality service.

Responsibilities

Complete maintenance work orders promptly and professionally.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and property inspections.
Prepare apartment homes for new residents, including painting, drywall repairs, and general maintenance.
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and other building systems.
Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in the rotating on-call schedule.
Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal.
Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supply inventory.
Deliver friendly, professional service to residents, vendors, and team members.
Follow all company safety policies and perform other duties as assigned.
