Job summary

Rose Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Residential Property Handyperson to maintain and repair units, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for residents in our NYC properties.

The role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, floor and drywall work, with on-call duties and strict adherence to safety standards. Ability to move through stairs and small spaces, and lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds, is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; handyman experience preferred.
• Must know safety protocols and building codes; tools and machinery usage.
• EPA 608 Universal certification or ability to obtain.
• Proficient with MS Office and Yardi software; must have work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential units including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair and carpentry.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair household appliances; coordinate with vendors for replacements as needed.
• Paint and drywall repairs to maintain a fresh appearance throughout the property.
• Repair and replace flooring materials to ensure safety and aesthetics.
• Conduct safety inspections and respond to emergencies; on-call duties outside normal hours.
