Job summary

Rose Associates is seeking a highly motivated Residential Property Handyperson in New York City to support maintenance, safety, and resident well-being across our properties. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs in occupied apartments, common areas, and amenities, collaborating with vendors and staff to ensure quality service.

The position requires hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and safety compliance, with on-site duties and exposure to varied

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to follow safety protocols and building codes.
EPA 608 Universal (or ability to obtain) certification is required.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential units, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and carpentry tasks.
Address HVAC issues and troubleshoot appliances; coordinate with vendors for replacements as needed.
Paint and drywall repairs to maintain a fresh appearance.
Repair and replace flooring; ensure safety and aesthetics.
Assist with unit turns and maintain maintenance shop inventory.
Conduct safety inspections and address hazards promptly.
Be available for on-call duties and emergencies outside regular hours.
