Job summary

State of Washington’s Monroe Correctional Complex in Monroe, WA seeks an RN2 on-call to provide professional nursing care within a correctional setting. This role requires flexibility to cover multiple shifts, including evenings and weekends, with opportunity for professional growth.

Candidates must hold WA RN licensure (or valid multi-state license) and have at least 1 year of RN experience, plus CPR training.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State RN license or valid multi-state license with WA endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Heart Association CPR training (Healthcare Provider).
• Proficient with computer-based scheduling and patient records software.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Practice nursing safely in correctional settings and follow state/licensure rules.
• Assess, monitor, and interpret patient data to plan care.
• Develop and implement care plans with timelines.
• Coordinate with health care staff and supervise others when needed.
• Maintain accurate records and protect patient confidentiality.
• Respond to health care emergencies and provide CPR as needed.
