Job summary
State of Washington is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 on-call at Washington Corrections Center in Shelton, WA. The RN will provide nursing care, assessments, and referrals for incarcerated individuals, with on-call shifts including days, evenings, and nights.

Qualifications
- Current unencumbered RN license in Washington state.
- 1 year of RN experience.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
- Proficient with computers for scheduling, data entry and communication via email.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- The RN delivers services that promote health, foster healing, and support coping with health conditions.
- Screening, assessing, and evaluating incarcerated individuals and their conditions.
- Responding to health care requests in a timely, clinically appropriate manner.
- Delegating and supervising work, coordinating care and referrals as needed.
- Planning transitions and arranging follow-up when patients transfer or return to the community.
- Assist patients to improve their ability to care for themselves and their families.
- Counseling, teaching, and providing health information to improve care quality.
