Job summary

Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) is hiring a Registered Nurse 2 (RN2) at Monroe Correctional Complex in Monroe, WA. The role is full-time and permanent, with a 2:00PM-10:30PM schedule Thursday through Monday and a two-dollar fifty-cent shift premium for evenings and nights.

The RN2 provides direct patient care, screens and assesses incarcerated individuals, coordinates referrals, and supports transition planning. A WA RN license and 1 year of RN experience are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Washington state.
• One year of RN experience.
• CPR certification (Healthcare Provider) per American Heart Association.
• Proficient using computer programs to schedule, monitor, and document patient information.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care promoting health and healing.
• Assess incarcerated patients and evaluate health needs.
• Coordinate care, referrals, and follow-ups.
• Counsel and educate patients to improve health outcomes.
• On-call coverage across shifts as required.
