Job summary

Save the Children US in Winchester, Indiana seeks a Part-Time Program Aide On-Call to support infants, toddlers and preschoolers with educational, relational and social experiences across program sites. This role reports to the Educational supervisor and may involve travel to classrooms, bus routes, cafeterias and kitchens as needed.

The aide ensures safety, collaborates with staff and families, assists with classroom activities, and helps with meals, cleanup and other duties.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Certification as applicable by Head Start or child care regulations, now or future.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily duties with clear procedures and organization.
• Assist classroom staff in activities and be a substitute when needed.
• Provide custodial and kitchen support as assigned.
• Attend workshops and meetings and participate in staff/parent activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of families and adhere to Head Start standards.
