Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center is seeking a PRN Obstetric Surgical Technologist to join a collaborative team dedicated to delivering newborns safely and with compassionate care at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO. Qualifications

Completion of a Surgical Technician program or Surgical Tech training with evidence of experience in the past three years required.
Current BCLS recognized by American Heart Association required.
Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
One year prior experience in a perioperative or obstetrical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures.
Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety.
Providing instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures.
Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly.
Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience.
