Job summary

CGL Facility Maintenance is seeking a General Trades Technician to perform general maintenance across facilities. The role covers electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and related building maintenance tasks.

You will work with safety protocols and CMMS work orders, and contribute to preventive maintenance programs. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related maintenance experience; willingness to on-call; strong teamwork and communication skills; and preferred

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years experience in building repairs and maintenance preferred.
• General knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment.
• Responds to service requests including electrical, furnaces, lighting, HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, disposals, plumbing & fixtures, carpentry, painting, roofing, and other maintenance items.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure machines operate smoothly and facilities stay in good condition.
• Follows preventive maintenance program for heating and ventilation systems and performs required maintenance.
• Assists in emergency maintenance as required including sewage back-ups and water leaks.
• Reads blueprints and repair manuals to determine work and resources.
• Operates plant equipment and building automation systems.
• Maintains and inventories tools and materials; uses PPE properly.
• Trains other technicians and provides mentorship where needed.
• Puts in work orders into the CMMS system as per policy.
