Job summary

CGL Facility Maintenance, LLC is seeking a General Trades Technician to perform maintenance across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and other building systems. You’ll work with a maintenance team to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure facilities operate safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include responding to service requests, preventive maintenance, following safety procedures, and on-call support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Skills Trade Certification preferred.
• 1–3 years experience in building repairs and maintenance or in the specific area of assignment preferred.
• General knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Able to lift weights up to 50 pounds regularly and above 50 pounds occasionally.
• Willing and able to work occasional on-call shifts.
• Must be a team player with strong work ethic and reliable.
• Must be computer proficient.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Driver's License, valid and in state required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment.
• Respond to service requests including electrical, furnaces, lighting, HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, disposals, plumbing and fixtures, carpentry, painting, roofing tasks, and other items as needed.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure machines operate smoothly and buildings remain in good condition.
• Follow established preventive maintenance program for heating and ventilation systems and replace filters as required.
• Assist in emergency maintenance such as sewage backups, water leaks, fires, and other incidents.
• Assemble, install, and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
• Read blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs; operate plant equipment and building automation systems.
• Maintain tools and inventory; comply with safety rules and PPE usage.
• Be on-call as needed; train and mentor other technicians; input work orders into CMMS.
