Job summary

Greystar is hiring a Service Technician at The Rowe at Commonwealth in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on the physical upkeep of buildings, grounds, and amenities to meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Essential duties include diagnosing and repairing issues, completing make-readies for new residents, inventory management, and accurate documentation. The position requires EPA refrigerant handling certifications and a valid driver’s license for on-site vehicle use.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.
• State and local certification requirements must be met for all service technicians.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the source of defects from resident requests and perform repairs per policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Complete the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing, including pre-move-out inspection, punch list, and vendor coordination.
• Track inventory, obtain supplies, and notify maintenance supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Document service requests timely, accurately, and completely for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting, and debris removal as needed.
• Support cost-containment by repairing parts rather than replacing when feasible.
