Job summary

The Galman Group is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician Floater to join our team. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, make-readies, and upkeep of all common areas and units to ensure resident satisfaction and safety.

You will work under the Maintenance Supervisor to diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems, while adhering to safety guidelines and Fair Housing/ADA/OSHA regulations. On-call rotations and a reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience required.
• Ability to work on-call shifts.
• Owns personal tools and reliable vehicle.
• HVAC certification and experience preferred.
• Plumbing skills.
• Electrical skills.
• Carpentry skills.
• Must wear safety gear as task dictates.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented environment.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Team player with flexibility and independence.
• Basic understanding of computers and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, repairs, make-readies, and upkeep of all common areas and units.
• Ensure safety and compliance with laws (Fair Housing, ADA, OSHA) and manage hazardous materials.
• Coordinate make-readies and repairs with senior staff to meet deadlines.
• Inspect and maintain tools, understand utility cut-offs, and keep areas secure.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, water systems, lighting, and more.
• Assist in moving and loading equipment, and manage inventory of spare parts.
• Honor on-call duties and use transportation for parts from vendors.
• Report major repairs and requisitions to supervisors before expenditures.
• Follow safety rules and report unsafe conditions promptly.
